It’s hard to believe it’s already time to start thinking about being back on campus. The summer has flown by but it’s exciting to look forward to connecting with students again. The summer can be lonely without them! Annie is making plans for Purdue Greek IV this fall and can’t wait to see what all God has in store for the Greek community this year.
One of the biggest changes this year will be the student leadership structure. We decided to have a “Core Team” instead of the traditional “Leadership Team.” The Core Team structure is a little less formal than a Leadership Team. The hope is that more students will be able to participate in leadership of the chapter. Greek IV places a high value on developing student leaders, and that’s one of Annie’s favorite parts of the job. As more students develop in their leadership, they will be able to make a greater impact in the Greek community at Purdue and in their jobs and communities after college.
Another big change this year is a staff addition! Ross Haymond graduated from Purdue this spring. He was a Phi Delta Theta and on the Greek IV Leadership Team for two years. His life was radically transformed by Jesus through Greek IV and he helped his brothers and his chapter experience that transformation as well. Annie is more than excited to working with him to reach Purdue Greeks with the Gospel. He will join her on campus as soon as he is funded.
